Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her father was an actor, and her mother a violinist. In the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors in 2000, she took home the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008 The European Film Promotion Board recognized her as the first European Shooting Star. The film was awarded two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). She also appeared in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, Marinca portrayed Yasim in BBC's five episode The Last Enemy. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the following year, she was major roles in 2014's Fury where she was Irma who was the German Aunt of Emma.
